About NABPOP - National Association of BPO Professionals

The National Association of Broker Price Opinion Professionals – NABPOP is non-profit association of Real Estate Professionals that perform Broker Price Opinions BPOs. NABPOP also fosters and seeks non-competitive strategic alliances with BPO companies and financial institutions. NABPOP was founded and exists to:

      • Advocate the practice and efficacy of Broker Price Opinions BPOs

      • Establish and maintain consistency through standards

      • Improve industry vendor competency and professionalism

      • Display the commitment of the members


NABPOP does not actually perform BPOs and/or Real Estate evaluations. NABPOP is geared and positioned to provide BPO education, training, BPO resources, and BPO certification to perform BPOs and property pricing evaluations. Rather than compete, NABPOP refers any solicitations for pricing evaluations to BPO Companies that have partnered with NABPOP.


The problems that face an individual BPO Company are also the problems that are faced by most or all the BPO Companies in the industry. NABPOP believes the aggregations of problems are opportunities to improve the industry and make it stronger. This plays right into NABPOP’s charter. NABPOP is also well suited to elicit and harness synergies that exist in the industry.


NABPOP was founded in 2005 and established a web presence in 2006. The membership has consistently grown since then. NABPOP has developed a multitude of services that mutually benefit BPO Companies, REO Companies, financial institutions and NABPOP members.

NABPOP envisions a uniform and standardized BPO Industry with highly qualified and competent Real Estate Professionals that service the BPO industry. NABPOP also envisions uncovering and leveraging the synergies that exist between the BPO Practitioners and between the BPO Provider organizations (BPO/REO Companies, banks, lenders, asset managers, hedge fund managers, investment managers etc...l) for the common benefit of all organizations and BPO Practitioners in the BPO and valuation industry.

 

NABPOP’s vision is to affect the BPO industry and, by extension, the valuation industry, with an environment of continuous ongoing excellence and a seamless communication network between NABPOP members, BPO Companies and financial institutions, and the general public requiring Real Estate services from NABPOP members who are highly proficient in Real Estate evaluation and pricing.

The purpose of this code is to establish clear and ethical professional parameters for the member’s of NABPOP.


      • Adhere to the highest standards of ethical and professional behavior.

      • Strive to achieve and maintain the highest level of knowledge pertaining to the process and procedures to complete accurate BPOs.

      • Strive to achieve and maintain the highest level of knowledge pertaining to your local market and service area.

      • Strive to take all steps necessary for accurate price evaluations.

      • Comply with the law.

      • Commit to continuous learning, skills development, and application of new knowledge related to both Broker Price Opinions and Real Estate.

      • Contribute to the body of knowledge, the evolution of the profession, and the growth of individuals through teaching, research, and dissemination of knowledge.

      • Respect the Professional Reputation of other Association Members.

      • Strive to maintain a public awareness that Association Members treat all assignments fairly and impartially.
